The biggest positives are the natural advantages the M1 Chip will have over other Mac builds. With the right software and hardware, gaming on an M1 could be just as fun and fluid as users have come to expect from other platforms. You might just have to work a tiny bit harder to get this experience at this point in time.
When the Boosteroid app is open, in the top right of the screen search for “Hogwarts Legacy”. Choose either the Steam or Epic platform that you’ve purchased Hogwarts Legacy on and click on “Install & Play”. On the Hogwarts Legacy game page click on “ Play” and when the Hogwarts Legacy launcher opens click Launch.

I've been trying all morning to play Rocket League on my Mac. (Newest 13-inch Macbook Pro, m1) I tried using Steam through playonmac and wine. I am away from home for a bit and just want to play Rocket League. Is there anyone that is using the same laptop I am that has succeeded in doing so? Any help would be very appreciated. Thank you

I experience the same problem. It shows signing in stuff and crashes. On M1 MacBook Pro, 16GB Memory, macOS 11.1 Edit: Disconnecting after launching game, but before entering full screen, made it work. Can play BL3 now.
The game was tested on the following M1 Mac: 13-inch MacBook Air (2020): Apple M1 chip with 8-core CPU, 8 GB RAM; As you can see below, the game is still exclusively written for Intel-based Macs, but thanks to Rosetta 2, Dota 2 can nonetheless run great on M1 Macs:
The highest graphic game I was able to run smoothly on my old mac was Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Recently I upgraded to Base M1 MBA and excited to try gaming on a laptop finally. These are some good graphics games that ran well (no parallels or crossover): • Subnautica • Fortnite • Arkham City • Life is Strange • Dreamfall Alien: Isolation. Alien: Isolation is one of the best survival horror games ever made in its own right, but it also perfectly recreates the look and feel of the iconic movie franchise. Running on our M1 MacBook Air, it's possible to tweak the game to a smoothly-playable state while maintaining an attractive image.
The Air is not really meant for gaming through a VM. Especially with only 8 gigs of RAM. Even with active cooling, better performance, and 16 gigs of RAM, my M1 Pro just can’t play many games anyway due to compatibility issues. I wanted to game with it but after a lot of frustration I ended up building a PC for gaming.
Yeah the thermals will definitely be better for gaming on the M2 Pro. But I'd take a look at the 14 inch M1 Macbook Pro, especially if you're planning on upgrading the ram or ssd at all. It's a better device than the 13 in M2 Pro and the base model comes with 16 ram/512 ssd. If you pay for those upgrades on the M2Pro, you're paying $100 more Speaking of graphics, the retro style here looks great and makes this a lightweight game. This means you can play Hyper Light Drifter on your MacBook without a problem. Verdict: Not Demanding System requirements: OS X 10.7, 1.2 Ghz Intel 2 Core Duo, 4 GB RAM, 2 GB HD space, 512 MB video memory. Into the Breach: Strategy: Low: No: Rosetta Honestly, playing most at the time great ps2 classics in Aethersx2. Development is sadly stopped, but it has the best performance in M1 chips. Using a M1 Max and can play like 95% of all games in that era with upscaling to 5k. I would recommend really to chase the old stuff. There’s great reliable emulation software out there for mac. .
