MacBook Air (2019) battery health. Hello, I have had my MBA since November 2019. I use the Battery Health 2 app. I noticed quite quickly my battery health decreased from 100% to 97% (after 7 charges) and now 96% (after 13 charges) Image 1 taken 4th Feb. I always charge to 100% and let it run down to around 10%.

So rule of thumb I follow is, use the device on battery power when possible and if the battery gets below 30-40%, charge it to ~100% and unplug. If you really want to test and have a reference point then you can charge the unit to 100% restart the computer, then run the command “caffeinate -d”, this will prevent the computer from sleeping.
