2 The weight at 500lbs is quite a bit but manageable and with the fuel under the seat most say it feels lighter than it is. 3. It comes well equipped so less farkels to buy. KTM 1 That 1190 and the power it produces! 2 MSC 3 It's 2k more than the BMW. 4 The weight is just a bit more.

The weight difference between the 1190 and 890 isn't huge. More technology on the 890 which I read as more stuff and sensors to break. The 1190 is so much affordable, it being used of course. At this point we are still "adulting" fixing things around the house, me working a lot more OT to cash flow the repairs and hopefully buy the bike outright.

R which has been awsome for gravel and lighter offroading stuff. I have a lighter bike for rougher adventures. I do need some help from my fellow adventureres in here regarding luggage.

mine was somewhere around $200 for first break-in service. $550 is crazy. Obviously they are taking advantage of the fact that they are the only KTM dealer around. I have 3 or 4 KTM dealers within an hour drive, so it probably helps to keep them more competitive/honest. First service should be 1 to 1.5 hours for trained tech, maybe less.
